Cookie Policy

What we store in your browser, why, and how to switch it off

Who we are and what this page covers

Adventure Knit is operated by Kanban Technologies LLC (312 W 2nd St, Unit #A3553, Casper, WY 82601, United States). This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) our website uses.

A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. localStorage and sessionStorage do the same job without being sent with every request. We treat all three the same way on this page. For everything else about your personal data, read our Privacy Policy.

The four categories

These are the same four categories you see in our cookie banner. Only Essential is on by default. The rest stay off until you say yes.

Essential

Keeps you signed in, remembers your cookie choice, remembers which link or friend referred you, and keeps small things like your comparison list. Always on, because the site does not work properly without it.

Functional

Today this only sets Google's "personalization storage" consent signal. We do not store anything extra when it is on.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 and our own page-view and click heatmap tracker. Nothing in this category runs until you turn it on.

Marketing

Controls Google's ad-related consent signals. We do not currently run any advertising or retargeting trackers.

Exactly what we store

"First-party" means it belongs to our own website. On a small screen, swipe the tables sideways to see every column.

Essential (always on)

Needed for the site to work, or to remember a choice you made. These are not shared with advertisers.

Analytics (only if you turn it on)

None of these are set until you choose Analytics. If you are signed in, analytics data is linked to an internal account ID (never your email or name in Google Analytics).

Services that run without cookies

These two services do not set cookies, so they are not part of the consent choices. We list them so nothing is hidden.

  • Vercel Web Analytics counts page views in aggregate. It sets no cookies and does not follow you to other websites.
  • Sentry error monitoring tells us when something breaks. When an error happens, and for a small sample of visits, it records a replay of the page with all text masked and all images and media blocked. If you are signed in, the report is linked to your account ID and email so we can help you.
  • Sign in with Google or Facebook: their scripts load only when you click one of those buttons.

No advertising trackers

We do not currently run advertising pixels or retargeting tags (no Meta Pixel, no Google Ads tag). The Marketing switch only controls Google's ad-related consent signals, which stay set to "denied" unless you turn Marketing on. If we ever add an ad tracker, we will list it here first and it will only run with your consent.

Your cookie choices

These switches change the same setting as our cookie banner.

Essential Always on

Sign-in, your cookie choice, referral credit and small conveniences. Always on.

Functional

Only sets Google's personalization consent signal today.

Analytics

Google Analytics and our own page-view and heatmap tracker.

Marketing

Google's ad consent signals. We run no ad trackers today.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time. It is as easy as giving it.

  • Use the switches above, or click Cookie Preferences in the footer of any page.
  • Turning Analytics off stops Google Analytics and our own page-view and click heatmap tracker from then on.
  • You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings (usually under Privacy or Site data). Clearing site data also signs you out and resets your choices here, so the banner will ask again.

Blocking Essential storage in your browser may stop sign-in and booking from working.
