Tour Overview
This 11-day, 10-night trip loops through Morocco from Casablanca, starting at the Hassan II Mosque and ending with a transfer to the airport. A private driver takes you between stops, and you spend most days moving on to a new town or region. The route runs north through Rabat and Tangier to Chefchaouen, then inland to Volubilis and the Fes medina. From Fes you cross the Middle Atlas toward Merzouga for a camel trek and a night in a desert camp, then continue through Toudra and Dades gorges to Ouarzazate, Atlas Studios and Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. The last days cover Marrakech, with a guided medina tour and the night food stalls, and Essaouira, with its fishing port and ramparts. The final day passes through El Jadida and its Portuguese Cistern before you reach Casablanca or Marrakech.
Our take
This is a driving-heavy route, so expect many hours on the road and some winding mountain roads. A driver is provided throughout, with local guides in Fes and Marrakech, and an airport transfer option is available.
Who it's for
This trip suits travellers who are comfortable spending long stretches in a vehicle and want to see many towns and regions in one journey. It involves a camel ride and a lot of walking in medinas, so it is less suited to anyone who finds either difficult.
