Tour Overview
This 5-day, 4-night trip runs through Morocco by vehicle, starting in Marrakech and crossing the High Atlas Mountains to reach the kasbahs of Telouet and Ait Ben Haddou, the Ouarzazate film studios and Boumalne Dades. From there it continues to Todra Gorge and the Erg Chebbi dunes at Merzouga, where you ride a camel to a desert camp for the night. The route then turns north through the Middle Atlas cedar forest to Fes, where a full day is given to the medina, the Blue Gate and the souks with a local guide. The last day heads south by road through Rabat and Casablanca, with visits to the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan II Mosque, before ending in Marrakech. Much of the trip is spent travelling between places, with stops along the way. Nights are spent in riads, a desert camp and a hotel.

Expect long driving days, and note that travel time can vary with your flight departure. Accommodation in Marrakech before the tour is not included, and an airport drop-off in Casablanca is possible.
Who it's for
This trip suits travellers who want to cover a lot of Morocco in a short time and are content to spend long stretches in a vehicle. It includes a camel ride and a night in a desert camp. It is less suited to anyone who dislikes long drives or winding mountain roads.
