Tour Overview
This 7-day, 6-night trip runs through Morocco from Casablanca to Marrakech, taking in Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fes, the Merzouga dunes, Dades and Todra gorges, Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. It is a route trip, so most days involve moving from one place to the next with stops along the way. The first days cover the Hassan II Mosque, the Rabat sights, Chefchaouen and Volubilis on the way to Fes. Day three is the turning point: you cross the Atlas foothills towards Merzouga, ride a camel into the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp. The second half heads through the gorges to Ouarzazate, over the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, then gives a full day in the Marrakech medina. The last day is the drive back to Casablanca Airport.

Expect long driving days, and note that Casablanca accommodation is not included. Travel time on the final day varies with your flight schedule, and the Marrakech medina tour is led by a local guide.

This trip suits travellers who are comfortable spending long stretches in a vehicle and want to see several Moroccan cities, the desert and the mountains in one week. It is less suited to anyone who dislikes long drives, camel rides or a night in a desert camp.
