This 8-day, 7-night trip is a loop through Morocco that starts and ends in Marrakech. You head over the High Atlas to the Dades area, continue to the Sahara dunes at Merzouga, then turn north through the Middle Atlas to Fez, Chefchaouen, Rabat and Casablanca before returning to Marrakech. Most days are spent in a private vehicle, with stops at kasbahs, gorges, Roman ruins and city landmarks along the way. Day 2 brings a camel ride and a night in a desert camp. Fez and Marrakech each have a guided medina visit, and the nights are in riads and hotels. The pace is steady, with a different place to sleep on most nights. It suits travellers who want to cover a wide stretch of Morocco in one week and are comfortable moving on regularly.

Accommodation in Marrakech before the tour starts is not included, so arrange that yourself. Expect mountain drives and a camping night, with local guides in Fez and Marrakech and an airport transfer available as an option.
