Tour Overview
This is an 8-day, 7-night lodge-based safari around Tanzania's northern circuit. You start and finish in Arusha, with stops at Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge and the Serengeti. Most days are spent in a safari vehicle on game drives, with private vehicles, local guides and drives tailored to the group. Along the way there is a visit to a Masai village, where you can take portraits and hear a talk by a Masai chief. Lake Manyara is known for its tree-climbing lions, and the Serengeti section includes wildebeest migration viewing. You spend two nights at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge and three nights in the Serengeti, so the middle of the trip is less about moving on each day and more about time in the parks. A balloon ride is optional.
